My company, Kano, is back on Kickstarter with 3 new creative computer kits: a camera kit, a speaker kit and an amazing pixel kit. This is going to sound a bit like a sales speech, because it partly is! But it's also important to me because it's what I've spent the last few months working on, so I thought it'd be nice to have a written trace of it on my blog.
I'm lucky enough to really believe in what we're doing at Kano: empowering everyone to build and make their own physical and digital tools. Anyone can make!
That's why waking up in the morning and going to work is easy; that's also why I put my money where my mouth is and I backed all three of our new kits as soon as we went live yesterday!
I'm very excited that the campaign is live! The team has worked incredibly hard to build the prototypes and the software, and tweak the Kickstarter page, that went live yesterday, Sept. 27th, at 4:00PM.

Below, I'm telling you a little bit more about the 3 kits we have designed and prototyped.
Camera Kit ($99, retail price $129.99)
A powerful camera anyone can make. Learn about focus and photography by making filters, spy cams, time-lapses and more. It comes with the Tripwire Sensor, that you can use to trigger shots! More detail here.
Pixel Kit ($99, retail price $129.99)
Anyone can make a playful pixel grid. Light up sports scores, pixel art, games, music, and more. You can control it with the Tilt Sensor, that comes with it! More detail here.
Speaker Kit ($99, retail price $129.99)
Build a smart bluetooth speaker and synthesizer. Learn and code electronic music. Make loop pedals, walkie talkies, disguise voices, and more. Bend sound with the included Gesture Sensor! More detail here.
Okay, I'm going to stop here with the pictures and the sales pitch! It would really help if you could back us on Kickstarter, or share a link to our campaign on social media!
